Default newbie intro:Auditrix (x-post)

Hi, I just wanted to introduce myself on this board since I'll probably be posting (or lurking ) here most often...

I have been following the Schwarzbein plan for about two weeks now and have lost around five pounds (which is amazingly fast, for me!) I sincerely hope it's not "all water!"

I'm also feeling more alert and energetic, and have noticed a dramatic drop in cravings. When I do have cravings, they are much easier to satisfy.

I started Schwarzbein at the recommendation of a nurse-midwife. (I have PCOS.)

I am a stay-at-home-mom to my two-year-old son. My primary motivations for low-carbing are to see if it will help with my endocrine issues and help me avoid developing Type 2 DM.

Thanks for this helpful forum!

Auditrix, Welcome to the board. Congratulations on the weight loss. This has been so helpful for me and I know you will enjoy it. I also have PCOS and am hoping to avoid other health conditions. Be sure and visit peoples journals, at the bottom of the posts click the journal icon if they have one.

Hi Auditrix:

Thought I'd jump in and say "hi" too. Welcome to the boards and good luck with recovering from PCOS.

I think DramaDame (as well as Piano) has PCOS. You could check out her journal too.
