Smile What Is Going On With Me

Hello all,
I cannot beleive this, I lost 4 lb this week and I just got my friend. I usually gain a few lb the week before.

I was wondering if you women could let me know if you gain during this time. And if you do when do you gain? Before or during? I am hoping that I will drop alot when it is over, but I am just going to stay focused. Please share you experience with me.

Thank you so much.

Amy

Hey - 10 pounds gone already! Congrautlations! Much of the first amount of weight we lose on low carbing is water. Your usual TOM water retention may have been balanced into the first 10 pound loss so it didn't show. So you may not lose a lot after TOM this time.

The next time around, the gain will be more usual and you should watch the calendar and not panic when it happens. It's just water. However, part of the 10 pounds was FAT so you are losing.

I'm sure you'll get other responses but be patient and stay with your eating plan and things will continue to decrease.

All the best.

I've been charting my weight and I recently noticed that I actually loose weight in the week before TOM. Usually during mid cycle is when I retain more water and either loose 1/2 pound or gain.

Everyone is different though. Good luck!

Normally I will lose right before TOM and sometimes even a day or two after, but then I retain the water for the next week or so. What can I say? My body has always been wierd.

Hi Amy! I have been on Atkins for almost 2 months now and had my friend twice both for 2 weeks straight. But I have found that I don't gain but I don't lose either. Then towards the end of after then I pick up the weight loss again. Probably am losing during that time but the scale doesn't reflect it, water retension and all. Just my 2 cents. =)
