Can I have an Atkins bar as a snack? It says on the box they are for phase 1,2,3,4,....??
Am I supposed to be counting my carbs? If I have two eggs and chicken...the mayo, vegies, am I supposed to keep track and count up the carbs? Or do I just eat what is on the list? In moderation of course. thanks out there.

No bars during induction.

Count the carbs in what you consume.

You may find www.fitday.com to be useful in that regard.

Welcome fellow BC'er!

Yep! You should count everything including eggs, dairy products, coffee and tea. Atkins gives the eating guidelines no doubt assuming that people are just starting to learn how to count carbs and it takes a while to find out and become comfortable with finding carbs.

The bars are a "your mileage may vary" kind of thing. Even though it says that they are OK for Induction, it would be better to break dependence on sweets during Induction. I know, it's difficult and you sometimes want to tear your hair out with cravings!

Back to the bars...they stall certain people and some do just fine with them. Wait till after induction but monitor your reaction to them to see if they set off cravings, make you want to eat more or even make you want to eat more bars.

Here's to your successful day 4!

Karen
