Question Phentermine and Atkins together?

Will taking Phentermine have an impact on the Atkins diet. It is an appetite suppressant so I see not ill impact on using the Atkins diet. What is your take?

Default Atkins is an appetite suppressant, too.

Why spend extra money to get something you're already getting for free?

I have a deep block against using anything in the category of "diet pills," mostly because I can't think of any that have had lasting success without nasty side effects somewhere. Atkins works. What's the rush?

I'm not sure that would be a good idea, either. On Atkins, you don't want to supress your appetite. You should eat until you are satisifed and sometimes you can hinder weight loss by not eating enough calories. Just my .02 cents.

How about trying atkins for a few weeks first before taking any kind of aid. But I would first suggest talking to your doctor about it.

I also have a perscription for phentermine, I got it before I was even considering trying atkins. I never did take them because they are so dangerous.

I can honestly say since I'm on Atkins I haven't had the desire or need to take them and I threw them away.

Be Careful.

First, although I probably will get chewed out for this. I think there are times that an appetite surpressant is needed...for me anyway. I have used Hydroxycut (non-ephedra) on those days I felt like eating the house out....and it has helped. I don't make it a habit (daily) so if you take it from time to time when you feel you need it...then I see no problem with this. BUT like the others said, ketosis does lessen your appetite...in some cases...extremely (no appetite) so you should definitely not rely on the pills ... and see what happens when you are in ketosis. Good luck.
