Default Wish me luck with the fish fry!

I volunteer at the local American Legion and tonight I workat the fish Fry. Usually after we are done for the night we eat whatever we want (none of which I can eat now) I really don't want to go but am already committed. So many temptations. All I can drink is water and that is not a Legion staple. If you know what I mean!

My smiles are gone that used to be on the left. Does anyone know how I can get them back or how I lost them in the first place?

Cinammo, maybe at the fish fry they could just fry you a piece of fish without breading? Pick up some legal stuff on the way. Lots of easy to eat stuff that transports easily. I wish you luck!

1) Take a quart sized ziploc part-filled with your favorite saucey-stuff. LC barbecue, LC asian, LC mexican, whatever strikes your fancy. Grab some fish (no breading) and drop it in there for awhile, then grill it for yourself, or ask them to.

Just tell them you have a minor medical condition that prohibits your eating bread-type foods but you LOVE volunteering to help so you brought your own stuff and hoped they'd help. I seriously doubt anybody will be anything but cool with that. Or

2) If you have any flat grills, take another bag of grated (to powder point) parmesan and an empty bag with an egg you can break there. Shake your fish piece in the egg then the parm and grill it on the flat grill (sprinkle all the rest of the parm on it as it cooks on each side, flip it a few times). Kinda like sizzler cheese-bread except fish instead of bread, LOL.

Just ideas. I haven't tried either of these as I loathe seafood!

When I finish workig through the long list of vegetables I've never eaten, I'm going to try and learn to like some seafood.

P.S. Water in a tiny vodka bottle looks just like vodka. If the AL is anything like the VFW, on a bad night you can get excommunicated for asking for water, ha! ha!

Fish Fry went fine and I drank water while everyone kept saying "Are you sure you don't want a beer?" Didn't eat last night because I was sick to my stomach over some bad news I got but it's okay.

Thanks for the tips!
