Default Is Cortislim compatable with Atkins diet?

There are tons of radio commercials in my area (Southern California) about the Cortislim diet pill. Supposedly its been favorably covered on Oprah and other semi-respectible places. It has no caffeine or ephedra and is supposed to do something to your body chemistry or metaboloism to help you lose weight.

On the surface I can't see anything about it that would conflict with the Atkins program, other than the fact that it may just be another expensive, flash-in-the-pan fraud.

Does anyone out there know anything about it? What do you think?

I have heard that it is a bit risky to take a diet pill with this WOE. It may not be healthy.

Inlandguy,

I use Cortislim and while I can't say that it's helped boost weight loss, it has calmed me down which in turn helps me fight the stressful eating. On days that I don't take it, my husband says, Have you taken your cortislim today? So I know that it helps.

Dana

7. CortiSlim Ingredients?
CortiSlim provides a scientifically validated combination of vitamins, minerals, and herbs to help maximize your weight loss success – including:

Cortiplex™ = controls cortisol levels within a healthy range to help reduce fat storage and promote fat mobilization–especially fat stored around the midsection in the tough-to-lose abdominal area…

Leptiplex™ = is named for Leptin (the body's primary "feel full" hormone and metabolic regulator) because it helps to naturally control appetite, increase energy levels, and stimulate metabolism…

Insutrol™ = balances blood sugar and insulin levels to help reduce cravings and let you stick to your healthy eating plan…

Ingredients: Vitamin C, calcium, chromium,
Cortiplex Blend (magnolia bark extract, beta-sitosterol, theanine),
Leptiplex Blend (green tea extract, bitter orange peel extract),
Insutrol Blend (banaba leaf extract, vanadium).

Supplement Facts Serving size 1 capsule Amount Per Serving % Daily Value

Vitamin C (as calcium ascorbate) 100 mg 170%

Calcium (as calcium carbonate, calcium ascorbate) 150 mg 15%

Chromium (as chromium polynicotinate) 050 mgm 40%

Cortiplex™ Proprietary Blend
Magnolia Bark extract (Magnolia officinalis) 1.5% honokiol,
Beta-Sitoserol, Suntheanine® (as 100% L-Theanine) 155 mg

* Leptiplex™ Proprietary Blend
Green Tea Leaf extract (Camellia sinensis) 50% EGCG,
Bitter Orange Peel extract (Citrus aurantium) 5% synephrine 125 mg

Other ingredientss: gelatin, microcrystalline cellulose, water, silicon dioxide, magnesium stearate (vegetable derived).

Sounds like an expensive vitamin with herbal supplements to me.

I just heard a cortislim comercial today on the radio that totally bad mouthed low-carb diets, claiming that they are causing heart problems, memory loss, and fatigue. I think Cortislim is just a scam! Diet pills are worthless!!!
