Angry i am sooo confused!!

ok whats the deal here. I have been doing great with my journal, both here and at home since I started Atkins 38 days ago, and all of a sudden i go to fitday.com and start punching in my food i ate and the carb counts are SUPER LOTS HIGHER than the carb counts in the atkins book. I have been using the index that is right in the book to calculate my carb intake....have i been doing it all wrong?? OMGGGG HELP!!!!!!!!

First, don't panic.
Second, Fitday is not Atkins friendly. You look under the carb counts, find your fiber counts, and subtract those, since Fitday can't do it for you.
You aren't the first person who got whacked out about this.

Be careful about the "Quantity" of the food you put in to Fitday....eggs are a good example. It likes to display a CUP of eggs..not 1 large, etc. I bet if you look back over your entries, you'll see a few like that.
You're losing weight, so you must be doing OK..keep up the good work

Yes. Be careful to check the quantity that pops up. People often make mistakes in that regard. Be sure to check that the figures you're seeing are based on the amount you ate, and not just the first thing that fitday plugs into the chart.

Pammie - I understand your concern. I have a similar situation with my Nutri-Counter. I keep a log both on Fitday and on my Nutri-Counter (which, of course, I can take anywhere) but the amounts differ....both in calories and in carbs. Actually the Nutri-Counter usually says I have MORE than Fitday does. So, yes, I'm confused too......I usually choose to believe the higher one!

ty all! I did look at the quantities of stuff i punched in at fitday, but i did not subtract the fiber so maybe thats where all the extra carbs are coming from
