Default Will Candida Cause This?

I have been on Atkins for 6 months. I have lost 16lbs. DH has lost 53lbs.
My question is this: I have cheated twice. Once I ate some sugar sweetened whipped cream, and yesterday I had a piece of yellow cake with sugar sweetened whipped cream on top.
Both times, I ended up with a Terrible itchy rash on my neck.
Could candida be the cause of the rash?

I have been reading a lot of sites dealing with candida, and do have some of the symptoms of a yeast infection.
There are so many various remedies for candida that I am really confused. Maybe I'm just thick-headed
Could you who are conquering or have conquered this yeast problem please tell me how you did it? I have a list of the foods I should not eat, but it is the probiotis that confuse me.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Hi GramnGramp,

Perhaps the itch is caused by candida but not necessarily. Try the "Starting Diet" on my web page. Avoid the foods that are restricted for candida like cheese, and vinegar. Take the Dr. Crook's Candida test. The link is on the page.

The itch could also be caused by a Omega-3 fatty acid deficiency with an excess of Omega-6 fatty acids. The instructions are on the link below. This change completely cured the cracking, itchy skin problem I had on my hand for at least 40 years. Many skin problems are caused by Omega-3 fatty acids deficiency as well as many problem within the body such as heart valve prolapse (leakage).

This diet is also great for weight loss in healthy people. Eat meats, chicken, etc. with some fat but avoid all dressings on salads. Control weight loss by eating meat equal to the size of the palm of your hand. Eat controlled amounts of fat. Chicken thighs without the skin are great. This is not low-fat. Cut carbs to as few as possible and fiber to a low number. This is automatic if you follow the "Starting Diet." Snack on meats and veggies between meals in moderation but avoid the cheese if you have candida.

My guess is the itch will go away no matter what the cause. Your weight loss will continue and you can stay on the diet this way indefinately. In fact, that is how I eat now except I eat cook or raw veggies, not just cooked ones.

Thanks Kent,
I will definately use the starting diet and check out the links you provided.
I will also stay away from sugar, I knew better than to eat it anyway.
One thing I didn't mention in my post was that I felt "like crap" for two days after my sugar feast.
My stomach hurt and I had no energy whatsoever. I was on the couch for a couple of days there.
Thanks again for your help.
