Default Has anyone tried Fruit20 beverage?

It is naturally flavored spring water sweetened with Splenda. There are several flavors: Orange, Raspberry, Lemon, and Strawberry. Amazingly.....they taste like fruit juice. The orange is awesome! This sounds great and all.....being sweetened by Splenda.....and that it is no cal...no carb. However, in the ingredients it list sucralose.......how concerned should I be? I really like it.....it's a great substitute for the morning O.J., but could it stall me out?

Sucralose IS Splenda. Same thing. I like Fruit 2 O. Quite good. Don't think there's a thing to worry about. Just use sweeteners in moderation of course.

My main complaint with them is the cost. I've only seen them in the single serving type bottle, which always costs more in the long run than the larger sizes. If they had gallon jugs, I would buy them.

I like Fruit20. I had it on Martha's Vineyard, Mass (where we go for summer), but I haven't seen it around here (Atlanta). Anybody else in the area seen it around? I haven't seen it at Costco either (but then again, i wasn't looking for it). I'll ask my grocerie store if they can get it... someone did that with diet rite and voila.. it was there.

Cool

I usually buy my F2O at the drug store (here in Detroit, Walgreens or CVS), and then, I buy them when they are on sale. Usually the sale is 1/2 price for the smaller bottle and .99 for the larger (litre size). I am down to a case of the smaller bottles - hope they go on sale soon!!

I sometimes have real trouble trying to gag down my water every day, so I will put maybe 4 oz. of F2O and the rest regular water in a 32 oz. cup. That gives me just enough to drink it without any problems. The flavors pack quite a punch so a small amount can really add flavor to my water!

Also, when I am making my SF jello, I will add a bit of cream cheese and half of my water is F2O - really gives it a great flavor!

I live in New York and you can find Diet Rite in virtually every grocery store and Fruit2O in plenty of the drug stores. Shouldn't be too hard, just keep your eye out!

Skamito

Do you buy many LC products? What shops in the city centre area stock low carb goods (besides Atkins products I mean)?

Thanks!

Scarlet, I actually can't find as many low carb products as you'd think. It's probably because I don't go to fancy health food stores as much.

Good places to look are Vitamin Shoppe (they're scattered throughout the city), Whole Foods (23rd St. & 8th Ave), and any grocery store that looks "ritzy".

I have found some things like soy cookies that a pretty good, but not a dreamer cornucopia unfortunately. If I stumble across anything soon, I'll let you know.

Okay.... just did a bit of research. Found some stores for you listed as carrying low-carb products. I'm gonna check em out myself, most are out of the way for me.

Default Skamito: I LOVE YOU

Don't be sorry! Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for the info. Everything else only listed Atkins suppliers or else confused me with too much info since I have no clue about the geography of NYC.

BTW is it easy to get lost in NYC ??

Ach, no, no Trader Joe's. That would be heaven. When I was home in Chicago for the holidays my mom got a bunch of stuff from there. Pretty cool place.

I don't think it's easy to get lost at all. Very well designed city. Just about all the streets are numbers. Just figure out which way they go (Streets ascending going north and avenues ascending going west) and you should be fine. Most everything lists the two streets intersecting. If all else fails, find the Empire State building which is pretty much smack dab in the middle of things. (34th St. and Fifth Avenue)

Feel free to PM me when you're in town with any questions!

I get Fruit 2o at Walmart. I love it. I take a bottle to work and drink it half down and then fill with water. I can do this at least three times and still have flavor. I like the raspberry and Lime the best, but we have orange alot too. It makes me think I am having orange juice for breakfast. We also have it in our K-Mart store.
