I assume they are talking about foods with lots of phytonutrients and antioxidants. Those goodies tend to ride along with veggies, fruits, and other plant foods like chocolate . Lucky for us, a lot of the foods with the highest concentrations of them tend not to be the highest-carb of the lot (with some exceptions, like oranges). Think berries, broccoli, flax seed, tea, spinach...
