Smile Walking to much

Hi Everybody!

Is it possible to be walking to much every day?? I get up at 5:45am on an empty stomach 7 days a week and walk 3 miles.
I also lift 3-5 times a week.

I just wasn't sure if walking everyday was a bad thing. Didn't know if my leg/butt muscles need a day off once in a while.

This is my 3rd week of 7 days a week and I feel great. Yesterday was so nice out I walked over 8 miles at one time. I am loving this energy boost I get with Adkins!

Thanks,
Brian

Default Personal Experience

My own personal experience would leave me to believe that light cardio (walking) on a daily basis is great for you. The biggest problem might be boredom, if you're not suffering that, walk on! Exercise, drink water, take your supplements and enjoy your new WOL.

Thanks Marley!

I'm pretty sure I'm going to stay with the Daily walking thing. I live in beautiful Burlington, Vermont so waking up and walking on our bike path never gets boring.

Thanks for your reply!

Default Skiing!

Burlington, Vermont I used to drive through there on my way up to the mountains to hit the slopes, that was when it used to snow on the East Coast! LOL! Anyways, nice to hear you're sticking to your plan. I personally feel changing your WOE without changing your WOL is like having cornflakes without the milk. Wait a minute, cornflakes aren't allowed on Atkins, shall I say pepperoni without the cheese. Either way keep your spirits up, and the weight down!

I'm very impressed with your early morning walking routine! Good for you!

I walked 4 miles per day for years, and often added a longer 10 mile hike once a week to that. It wasn't too much for me, even at the higher end of my weight range.

Walking is such a natural, safe form of exercise, all you need to do is listen to your body. If your knees or ankles start to hurt, take a day off. Otherwise, keep up the great habit!
