Wink There is hope (-11)

I lost 8lbs week 1, nothing in week 2, and I had a minor slip up in week three so I was really discouraged. I did my weekly weigh in yesterday and my week 3 results are a 4 pound loss I am so happy. I bought myself a new outfit. Although my jeans are still a size 16, I felt very comfortable and confident for the first time in a long time. I got a new haircut and new color and now I am ready to work towards my goal and the new me.

I went out to dinner last night with the family and since there are 4 of us on the Atkins diet we chose a steakhouse with many appropriate choices on the menu. I did indulge with a few drinks. I hope that won't blow it for me. Captain Morgan Rum and diet coke???

Thanks for all of the support. Oh yeah! I also started exercising. I have been trying to get back into my Taebo for a while now and I have done it for the past few days. I can feel all the aches and soreness in my abs and it feels good. I am moving on Friday so all the packing can't hurt either!

Thumbs up Good on you, Rosie!

As you've now experienced, losing weight on low carb can be a process of 'fits and starts' - periods of not losing followed by a little (or large) 'whoosh.'

The important thing is to persevere and stick with it. You can be losing fat and gaining muscle, which will result in no scale change, but you'll still be losing inches, which is a Good Thing. The process will also slow down as you get closer to goal. But it WILL happen, and you're off to a great start!

Talking I do the same thing!

I can go days...sometimes a week and nothing! Then get on the scales a WHOOSH 5lbs! ITS SOOOOOOO COOOL! And man do I feel GOOOOOOOOOOOODDD! Now I have the Taebo tapes...But I haven't gotten back into it yet. I love that work out! It builds self confidence along with a lean body!
