Default pkg info versus fitday

I was just putting in my food intake and noticed that on the pkg of walnuts it said 4g carbs and 4g fiber in 1/4 cup. On fitday it says that there are 16g carbs and 8g fiber in 1 cup. Is this interesting or what? Which should I use?

Hi there bcadieux,

If the package seems to say that the nuts have zero net carbs, it is a sure sign that they have already subtracted the fibre. No nuts are carb free.

So I would go by the package, and count those 4 carbs.
