Question Low Carb and Winsor Pilates???

Hi all....
I am just starting no/low carb. I have done adkins before with alot of success. I am wondering if any of you have done the Winsor Pilates tapes? I am thinking about ordering them to do in combination with walking/jogging while no/low carbing. If any of you have any experience with this exercise program or pilates in general please give me some input!!
Thanks
HSB

I actually do pilates. I dont have the winsor pilates but just a dvd I got from walmart for like 12 dollars. I love it. I don't get a chance to stretch or relax and this helps me. I am down 37 pounds so far. I reccomed it. It is a little hard at first becasue you are using muscles that usually dont use even if you do work out. good luck.

Cool

Hi,

I have the Winsor Pilates tapes... I have only done the basic tape so far. It's about 20 minutes and I definitely notice my abdominal muscles burning after I do it. I've only done the tape about 4 or 5 times so far, but I like it. The set also comes with an advanced tape, which I think is an hour long. I don't have time for that at this point. The Winsor Pilates is the only form of Pilates I have tried, so I wouldn't be able to compare it to anything else.

As with any Pilates I'm sure, you'll need an exercise mat and lots of space to work out. (For the kicks and stuff)

Hope I helped you some!

Lisa

I just started doing the "Pilates for Dummies" DVD. It has basic and intermediate workouts. I like it because it explains the moves in an easy to understand way. Even though I workout at least 3 times a week, I was sore afterwards. It uses muscles I didn't even know I had.

I've been lowcarbing for just over a year and doing the Winsor pilates tapes since January. They are a great combo. There are a few others doing pilates on here as well.

Thumbs up

Thank you ginger, lisa and melanie for the input.
I am anxious to get this started. The pilates looks like it will be good for me and the low/no carb thing has worked for me before so I am hopeful.

Thanks again and good luck to ya'll.

Heidi!!
