Smile little victories!! please share!

My little victories this morning:

1. Felt totally sleepy but got out of bed and went to gym anyway.

2. Didn't buy a cookie I wanted at Starbucks.

(I love these little things that add up. I'd love to read others.)

What a great thing to celebrate. My little victory today: threw out most of a low-carb chocolate bar I was eating, because I realized it wasn't THAT good. If I'm going to burn some of my daily carb allowance on sugar alcohols, the candy better be great!

Yesterday, I bought a beautiful linen shift dress in a size 10! When I started Atkins 5 months ago, I was wearing an 18.

To celebrate, I bought the cutest little shoes and handbag to match the dress. Shopping is no longer a heart-breaking experience and I can shop in ANY store I want to, not just the ones that have plus sizes.

Yesterday, I figured out how to have a frappe mocha thing at Starbucks. I got iced coffee with sweetner, took it back to work and added cream. Yeah. Just what was needed on a hot hot day.

Wow...can't wait to get there Kaillean! I'm slowly shrinking and I'm still in limbo between "regular" sizes and plus sizes. 16/18 is an awful size to be!

Hilary - I know what you mean! 14 isn't much better. Can't wait for 12, 10, 8....

Passed up a delectable looking slice of chocolate cake at my friend's birthday party last night!

Only day 5 here, but I took the kids for icecream yesterday (no sweets at home, so going out is there only chance) and I ate half an Atkins bar drank water and had NO desire for that ice cream.

That is truly miraculous given my past history.

A friend brought over some chocolate cake with icing for my husband and son. It is sitting on my dining room table and I have walked past it several times already and I am not at all tempted to dive in!!!

Oh I also have a bag of snack mix in the cupboard and these are my favorite and I have seen them there all week and not tempted there either.... I KNOW I CAN DO IT!!! WE ALL CAN!!! YEAH

Last Sunday, I was driving and my sister was eating McDonalds fries right beside me and I didn't even have one!!

Last night I resisted the Doritos that were calling my name.

Today at work, there was an ice-cream sale and I did not buy any!!! Imagine Rolo ice-cream and I didn't have any!!!

So I think I'm doing pretty well to resist the temptations all around me!

Good luck everyone!!!!

I walked past the "Death by Chocolate" cake samples they were giving away at the supermarket today. Should I also mention it is my TOM? Passing up chocolate at this time is quite a victory for me,

Once again I survived doughnut Friday at the office...with not even one bite. I'm going on 2 weeks in a row now!

I put on a pair of jeans that I haven't worn in almost 3 years (before I got pregnant w/ my 2nd).

Congrats to everyone!

We had a farewell cake for one of my co-workers yesterday. It was very rich chocolate cake with caramel. I have tried it before and it is incredibly sweet. I did not even think about it yesterday. ..Ok, well I thought about it, but I did not WANTany of it.
The girl who was leaving brought in Krispy Kremes. I had no trouble resisting those either.

Tried on a pair of size 16W lined pants and they FIT. Not a great accomplishment for most but for me it was great (I used to be a 20)
