Cool Just want to say "hi"

I just wanted to say "hi" from Sparta, Michigan and introduce myself to this fantastic support group. I am the proud grandmother of 4 and need to lose a lot of weight so that I can enjoy them more plus the fact that my husband loses weight so easily. I also have had a knee replacement so that slows me down in the exercise area but I'm trying! Maybe I should start that fat fast--anyone done it? Or should I just keep up with the low-carb foods and lots of water?

Hi there Maren Stoy,

Welcome to the forum!

The Fat Fast is only for those who have such severe metabolic resistance, they are unable to lose any weight in any other way. Don't make the mistake of comparing your weight loss with that of your husband. As a rule, men lose a lot more easily than women. (Grr!)

How about posting some of your menus so we can perhaps make some other suggestions before you resort to the Fat Fast? Starting a journal here is a good idea - and a convenient place to regularly post menus.

All the best to you, Maren.

Rosebud

Hi Rosebud,

Thanks for setting me straight on the "Fat Fast" method. And I have been told that men lose weight more easily than women but I thought that everyone was making it up just to make me feel better--now I know the truth! Terrible, isn't it?

I will defenitely start posting my menus but it won't be until next week as this week is so full that I don't have time to breathe (exaggeration). Let alone be on the computer.

Talk to you soon.

Maren

Hey Maren Stoy!

Welcome to the forum.

I wish you well on your plan ! Four grandchildren ! Oh my, I am sure you are kept quite busy with all that energy buzzing around you. I don't have any kids of my own, but my best friend has custody of her 9 year old granddaughter and I adore her. She is quite a handful for her grandmother though and has given her a few grey hairs for sure.

Come by my journal and say hi if you have time, I love getting new visitors.
