Smile Am a newbie

Hi, I'm new to this board and am happy to be here. I have been doing Atkins for 7 weeks now. I was losing quickly now it's 1/2 - 1lb per week. That's a bit discouraging because I have not cheated, not even once. I gave up my diet pepsi (was addicted for 25 yrs.) and drink tons of water and exercise (never did this before). I have been walking with my dog (who lost 2 lbs) and doing the watp videos (which I like a lot). I am not anywhere near giving up! I am embracing this WOL and so is my hubby who is doing this with me.

hi there StaceyD,

Welcome to the forum.
Please don't be discourage about your weight loss. Tell me, In which other diet plan have you lost this much in such little time?
After a major loss is normal that our bodies take some time to rest a little bit, and reorgainze itself.

For many people, the scale does not move. try measuring yourself every week.
If you are losing inches, then you are losing weight.

Good luck to you and your hubby!!

Wow, Stacey, congrats on your loss so far! 26 lbs in just a few weeks - and still losing! It's normal for the rate of loss to slow down as you get further along, so don't fret about that! As long as you keep losing, that's the main thing! As Becky said, what other diet plan would allow you to lose that much in so short a time and without starving yourself? Welcome to the Forum and feel free to stop by my journal if you have any questions, k?
