Default Hi everyone.

I have not been on for awhile. I had to stop the Atkins diet. I was in the hospital with kidney problems. I will not be able to go back on the diet but I would still like to check in as I love talking to everyone and I really like the support I get on this site. My creatinine jumped up and I am spilling protein. I have had alot of pain. I will need a bunch of tests to determine the extent of the damage. Diabetes really sucks!

Unhappy Wow...

Spilling protein? I'm not sure what that is but I know it can't be good. I'm really sorry you're in pain. Hang in there. Please know that you'll be in my prayers.

Hi Shelley,

I'm really sorry to hear you were in hospital and are in such pain, that's nasty!!

Is there no chance of you going back to LC, I thought it was meant to be good for you even as a diabetic? Anyway you have to do what is right for YOU.

I do hope and pray that you get better soon, I agree it's a great forum, everyone is really friendly and helpful.

All the best and God bless!

Banana

Hi Shelley,

Good luck and good health to you. You may not be able to do Atkins per se, but I'm sure your participation here gave you a lot of valuble nutritional knowledge - you know what's best for you.

Take care,
