hi!

i have not been too succesful at finding low carb things. although there is an ice cream parlor in town that sells carbo-lite ice cream. just what i need right? i have only had it once though. its okay. i have also discovered the carbo-lite bars which have malitol. i found that those have helped my consptipation very much. the bars are sold in costco by the box. i think its like 28 bars for about 28 dollars. i dont eat a whole one at one time.

but at the super target they have the small carbo-lite bars. 99 cents each. peanut butter cup, peanut butter bars, almond crisp, and milk chocolate. they taste really good not chalky at all. like i said i dont eat them that much. only when im having trouble with constipation or I need a treat. Maybe three times a week. I have been on atkins since feb 5 and have lost a grand total of 40 pounds. this wol is absolutely awesome. I would love to meet some friends with similar goals...who's idea of hanging out is not eating pizza <sigh> i cant do that anymore. it seems nowadays were are so socialized around food.

WOW, 40lbs since feb is great I wish I could be so lucky lol,but Im still very happy with this WOL. I have so much energy and willpower!I try to stay away from the candy bars (they are so good) but I have found I have an addictive personality bc when I eat them I crave for more and more so I quit. I like to snack on pepperoni, cheese (in moderation), Ham and cream cheese rolls, pork rinds and Strawberries (all the berries are good when you are not in induction anymore). I have stayed 20grams of carbs but have added some fruit. I havent added the nuts yet I'm afraid I'll go nuts lol bc i love them!Check the recipes for the pizza quiche ppl say good thing about it!Good Luck!

That's been my hardest challenge - trying to deal with non-LC friends and family who keep on asking you to go out for pizza or donuts at the Krispy Kreme. Not to mention that every work meeting seems to involve some sort of food (bagels, donuts, sandwiches) and I have to pass it up. The only time I seem to get any cravings is when I smell and see the food in front of my face.
