nope, no alcohol. If you are going to drink though make it pure alcohol, like vodka w/ diet coke. I think I did drink once during induction and it didnt affect me but I stuck to the hard core stuff.

Try your best NOT to drink alcohol during induction. It can start cravings and alcohol does suspend ketosis until its burned off. Wait till OWL.

As much as I like beer, I stayed away from it for the first two weeks and was pleasantly surprised that after a few days it did not bother me to go without it. Now I usually have two beers after about 6:00 in the evening.

Whiskey or vodka with diet Coke is usually what I drink when I am at induction level carbs. If you are just starting this WOL, and are in the first two weeks of induction, I would also skip the alcohol. I think alcohol is something you have to slowly add back in to see how it affects your weight loss. I stay below 25 carbs a day even now, after over a year, and wine takes up so many of my daily carb allowance, it's a rare treat.

I drank Gin and Tonic with a squirt of lime juice. I drank it during induction and lost like 17 lbs. I didn't drink alot though. Later, when loosing slowed down, I stopped drinking as someone pointed out that your body will burn the gin before fat, I really want the fat gone, so don't drink any more (much)

Good Luck to you!
