The first question is: is it just before your period? LCing doesn't eliminate the premenstrual water retention but it often reduces the PMS mood swings and other distresses so we forget that TOM is coming.

The second question is: did you recently eat some very salty foods: bacon, salami or deli meats, cheeses? That could be the cause of the water retention.

3rd: have you been drinking a lot of water? If not, that could be the cause of your body's holding on to what it has.

4th: have you been exercising and are a bit sore or stiff? Sore muscles swell a bit as they heal.

5th: have you taken any over-the-counter medications (even for headaches) or any prescription medications? Most of these will cause water retention. Have you been sick - cold, fever, flu, infection? Another cause of fluid buildup.

Be patient for a few days and things may just settle themselves. Try not to agonize over each day's results. Look at where you are at the same time every week. I like Wednesday morning (for no particular reason). Then you can see trends without being confused by details.
