Default Peperami Snakcks

Hi All,

I have been eating Peperami's as a snack throughout the day. A 25g stick only contains 0.4g of carbs! OK, they don't exactly fill you up, but they are make a great stop-gap with a bit of cheddar. Even the extra spicy one's are only 0.7g of carbs per stick.

Also, Sainsburys do a large Smoked German Sausage (about £1.59) which is absolutely delicious. It tastes a lot like polony but has a fraction of the cab content (0.5g I think).

Happy Munching everyone.....

Mash

Hi Mash

Yes peperami's do make a useful snack. Don't forget to drink plenty of water as I think they contain quite a lot of salt and probably some nitrites as well, but for the moment, enjoy.

I also find Edam cheese to be a great snack.
100g has less than 0.1g of carbs

I'm not wild about pepperami, but I love kabanos! They are a smoked Polish sausage - they seem to have a hint of garlic and fennel. I've found them in Tesco's at the deli counter, and at Sainsbury's with the pre-packed cold meat. You can cook them, but they are delicious to eat just as they are, in salads or as a snack.

I think the kabanos are virtually 0 carb. Not 100% on this, but I'm sure I've seen that written elsewhere. Do a quick search of this site on 'kabanos' to find out.
