Default An Atkins Limerick...

There once were some fat grams inside me
That only showed themselves OUTside me
I was in a huge rut
and obtained such a gut
But Dr. Atkins came along and he saved me.

Anyone else for limericks (I'm Irish).

love it.

Thats too much thinking for this time of night....maybe I'll join in tomorrow. This is going to be a fun thread.

My hubby is part Irish ...I'll see if he has any limerick talent in him.

Much love, laughter, success.
BB.

Default I know this isn't a limerick...

...but a wee thing I wrote about a year ago when someone asked about Dr Atkins' name:

R is for the red in all the meat we now can eat
O is for the oil we use that seems like such a treat
B is for the bacon that we eat each sunny morn
E is for the eggs with which the bacon we adorn
R is for the running I'll be doing bye and bye, and
T is for the time I wasted eating junk like pie.

A is for the apple that we used to eat in pie
T is for the trust we have (We know he'd never lie!)
K is for the knowledge that we're going to be skinny
I is for my belly button - it really is an "innie!"
N is for the novelty of eating fat and cream
and
S is for our svelte backsides - one day. I can but dream.

I love limericks!

There once was a girl named Leigh
Who woke up to a fat jelly belly
Then to her suprise
Dr. Atkins opened her eyes
Now there is a lot less of her to see

My breath smells somewhat bad
my friends now step back a tad
But I have lost some of my weight
and I really feel great
for that I am really quite glad
