I have been lurking since being diagnosed 10/24/02, this is my first post. When I was diagnosed with this disease I had no idea what I needed to do, eat, etc.. I have learned so much at this and the Diabetic form.

I have received the lab report from my three month follow-up. I have gone from an A1C of 10.2 to 5.6, my triglycerides were over 200 and now are 95. My cholesterol is 135. I have also lost 42 pounds.

Many times during the last three months I would get discouraged and feel sorry for myself. I would come here and see others having the same doubts and the advise and support they were given.
