Default How long will it take ?

Hi everyone,
Is there anyone who has to lose +/- 65 pounds ?
I've got to lose +/- 65 pounds. After 1 year I have almost lost 30 pounds. I just want to know how long it will take to reach my goal.
It feels liks it is going to take forever.

Its about the journey, not the distination. There is no way to tell how long its going to take you, and its deffinatly going to slow down the closer you get to your goal. Do you work out?

I do work out, but for the last 4 months I haven't lost a pound. I even have gained some since I began to work out and upped my water intake. Sometimes I am afraid that I will never reach my goal.

It is a slow but constant process. We lose then we stall and our body catches up.

Average loss is 10% of your total goal to lose during induction and then approx 5% each month after.

The key is to realize that we low carbers look leaner faster. I lost only 20lbs on Atkins in the past year but I have lost 4 sizes. So I know it is hard to get past the lbs concept that we all have rammed down our throats our whole lives, but smaller doesn't neccessarily mean lighter.

Do you exercise... you can increase your inches lost to look better and better.

Don't get so hung up on the scale... you are learning lifelong patterns that are going to keep your weight off.

You are not only going to get to your goal... YOU ARE GOING TO KEEP IT OFF.

Take care.

I have lost 37 so far and have about 72 more to go! I have lost the 37 fast...about 2 1/2 months, but I know it will slow down soon.

I agree with Lisa. Make sure you measure yourself in several places. I think you will find that you lose inches faster than actual weight.

I find it was almost more helpful to have a clothes size goal than a weight goal.
