Default avocado

Does anyone know of any good recepies for any sort of avacado dressing? I checked out the one in the recepie forum and there is only one for a ranch avocado dressing...which sounds yummy too.

I make my own - similar to guacomole I suppose:

1 small avocado - pitted, cubed
2 tbls red onion - chopped
2 tbls cilantro chopped
2 tbls sour cream
2 tbls (or more to taste) salsa
1/2 lemon squeezed
little water to "thin out"

In blender or food processor I mixed. I added little water at a time to get the consistency I wanted. Put in container and stored in fridge. Better to chill for a few hours before use. Lasts about 1 week.

Your welcome. Great on dark green lettuce (like romaine or even fresh spinach and some tomato)

Oh forgot - salt & pepper to taste

I posted a recipe for Green Goddess dressing in the recipe forum. The 'green' is from avocado.

I have everything in my cubbord except for the anchovy paste. Would it be terrible without it? I am craving a good avocado spread today. All the recepies so far sound sooooooo yummy. I am thinking of loading up a taco salad with this stuff. mmmm

About once a week I make a quickie snack/mini-meal out of an avocado and Pace chunky Hot Sauce - just halve the avocado, remove the seed, cover w/ the sauce, and grab a spoon!

something I like is stuff half an avacado with shrimp salad. Mix a little mayo and hot sauce or chili or salsa in with shrimp and stuff it into the avacado. I used to eat this before LC and it still works!
