Default yogurt

I'm wondering what people think of this article (http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/yogurt.htm), it claims that because yogurt is formented the sugar from the milk is digested so that it realy has much less carbs than stated. I love yogurt and have had a 1/2 cup a day this week since I've read the article and it does not seem to be a problem.

After a long lull (and a slow start overall), I'm finally starting to loose again. As strange as it seems, the weight started to move again when I stopped obssesing about it. We had a wedding at our house last weekend and I gave myself permission to eat anything I wanted and I was so busy that I ended up eating nothing! Oh well, next time.

Oops - a 404. That url should be http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/yogurt.html .

Anyway, I do like to eat yogurt and don't worry about its carb count, as long as it's plain unsweetened yogurt. For someone on induction, though, I'd recommend skipping it. Save the carbs for veggies.

Hi denise,
I eat yogurt everyday. Usually it's my breakfast or part of it,
also eat it at lunch and sometimes as a night snack w/whip
cream. It hasn't caused me to gain weight or stall.

great! thanks you guys. it's my favorite treat right now, so i can eat it without feeling like i'm being "bad". i stayed on induction for 10 weeks. my goal was to stay on till i lost 10lbs, which i did as of this weekend! yeah! so now i am going to add just a few more things (like the yogurt). -denise

This is very interesting!!!!! And good news ! I just tried whole milk plain yogurt this week and it is soooooooo much more palatable than the lowfat kind. Very smooth and not "tart". Good stuff.
