Hi Nicky!
Induction has several purposes. The first is to get your body into ketosis and start it using your fat stores for energy instead of carbs. Another purpose for induction is to get your insulin production and wild blood glucose swings under control and so get your carb cravings under control. And last, but not least, it's to jump-start your weight loss process. You may have picked a bad time so start low carb if you have no cooking facilities available. Dairy products (other than heavy cream, cheese and butter) are not allowed on induction because most other dairy products have lactose, a natural sugar, that could be keeping your insulin production up and your cravings going strong and cheese is limited to no more than 4 oz a day on induction. Once the dust settles, eat those veggies and let us know how you're doing!
