Hi Baden,

Here's a link to Atkins Phase I Induction which will give you a list of "acceptable foods", as well as information about aspartame.

Changing to lowcarb is kind of steep learning curve in the beginning, but there's lots of help and support here. Be sure to check out "Hot Links" in the newbies section.

Good Luck!

Hi Baden!

While Dr. Atkins discourages the use of Aspartame, it's not completely disallowed. There is also at least one brand of sugar-free gelatine (Jolly Rancher) that is made with Splenda instead of Aspartame. No sugar-free puddings that I'm aware of that don't have aspartame, but those are typically a bit high in carbs to be having on induction anyway (between 6 and 9 grams of carb per serving).
Dr. Atkins discourages the use of Aspartame because of health concerns and many people find that using Aspartame causes stalls in their weight loss. Whether or not you choose to use it is pretty much up to you based on how it affects you.
