I just started Atkins and didn't even get through the induction phase yet because I keep cheating . I would love to be able to get talk to some Maryland people that can help keep me encouraged. I know I can get results (I lost 7 lbs before I caved and ate high carb foods) but I need help.

Default cheaters

i cheated everyday when i first started at the beginning of december. the day after christmas i had gained around 10lbs. if i can go a couple of days without cheating i will do good. i just had to set my mind to do it. looking at pics of myself fat really helps. i have benn following the diet good for going on four weeks. except for my weakness icecream. i have not had any , this is the third day. i have lost 3-4 lbs. i was also having caffiene too. some people can have things like that, some cant. i lost 15lbs last year and had icecream every night, but not this time. i should have lost more weight by now.
so set your mind to what you want to do and get out the photos. good luck. hope this helps. aimie

Hello Meghann23, I'm with Teri to start a journal. We can watch your progress and the food you eat and anything else you would like to talk about. Some foods encourage you to eat other foods or may give you cravings, but no one will know that if you don't start a journal. If you don't know how they have the introduction for newbies right next to the newbies questions. You can hit the pm or journal icon under my name and post whatever you like there. I'll be your MD buddy if you would like. I read your profile and that is all we have to work with right now. The sooner we get started the better.
