Question Water Pills

Do anyone know if it's safe to take water pills while doing Atkins?

I'm curious!

I don't think it's safe since lowcarbing is a natural water pill. Eating this way will make you lose the retained water anyway.

If you are on the medication already, don't stop or change it without talking to your doctor first.
Good luck!

My doctor precribed them to me, knowing I was on Atkins, as well told me to take Potassium, But they stalled me big time, just as it says in the book.

Talk to your doctor, there is other choices, to take as suggested in Atkins, L Taurine, is one that I'm taking, My B.P. is slowly coming down, But you must check with your Dr. My b.p. was really not that high, but he was concerned, as well, it got higher after I started Atkins, which was strange.
Check out the" Nutritional and supplement thread" there is some discussions there about it, as well in the general health thread.

Cheers Kathy

Since starting Atkins I have stopped drinking normal Tea and Coffee and did'nt see the point of decaf...lol. But have changed to drinking Green Tea this is a natural aid to reduce water retention and tastes good too
