Default problem.. too much food...help!

i don't think i am getting enough calories, but i am so not hungry. i feel like i am eating a ton...for gawd sakes ...a half pund of steak... unheard of in my previous life! i never ate butter and i am adding butter ...soaked my pancake in it. my ratio is 66-5-27 (fat, carb, protein). i ate 1173 calories. just to try and get more fat, i ate 1/2 cup cream (no carb kind) and 1/2 scoop of shake powder. i understand you are not suppose to have more than a couple tablespoons but i wanted sweets yesterday. i am not losing currently and i feel full after dinner. it doesn't seem right to choke down more food when i'm full.last time i felt full was when i was on phenfen years ago. it's hard to imagine eating 1700 calories right now. oh yeah, and i do eat chicharones, but should i stuff them down if i am full?.... i like the full feeling....never had that on sugar. any suggestions would be appreciated.

well, just looking at yesterday. For your salad dressing, add more oil(olive oil) . Add some cheese to your salad , maybe mayonnaise instead of sour cream . Omelet with cheese fried in butter. I always make a big omelet and have it for a few days. Just look at my fitday a week ago ,when I was still in induction... I have been trying to write in my journal here and at fitday.. My induction ended Saturday, I had a few times where I wasn't hungry ,but then I got hungry again. Go take a look you might find something you can try.... Cindy

Jannie: Steel's jam is an LC sugarfree jam (maybe even sweetened with Splenda, I do not know) and jicama is a vegetable used a lot raw in Mexican and Southwestern cusines. Many times it is sliced raw on salads. It has the crunch of an apple, but I'm not sure what the taste would be comparable to. Hope this helps. Good luck on your LC journey!!!

thanx sox.... i looked at your journal. r u still on induction?

i guess things i need to do is cook with more fats and add cheese to things.

you asked about my exercise habits.... those r good as i am losing inches. i do 30 minutes pilates, 30 minuts of beach walking or sometimes an uphill trail along a creek. and about 20-30 minutes weight lifting. i mix up the pilates with other exercise tapes from time to time.

This is what I do. I have always consumed butter, olive oil, canola oil, vitamin e, so I didn't add it to my diet. However, I did use margarine more because it is cheaper. I no longer use margarine so I guess you can say I have increased butter. I never have more than 6 ozs. of meat at a setting and I don't try to have eggs and cheese everyday. I don' count fat or calories. I read to not worry about those things. I eat three filling meals a day in my comfort zone. Although I am no longer on induction I rarely go over 20 or 25 grams of carbs a day. I eat lots of LC fruit and vegetables and dressings. I don't do ratios or any math except counting carbs.

Anais57 Something that I suggest: Since we are no longer privy to many fruit selections, don't increase the artificially sweetened jam as a substitute. Instead increase your red, yellow and orange bell peppers and strawberries, excellent source of vitamin c. These are way higher in the c vitamin than Hi C oranges. Use the jam as a substitute for...jam, or syrup.

With that much exercise make sure you are getting enough calories to feed your body. You don't want it to think your running from a preditor and in starvation mode
