Default Why no iron in supplement ????

Just curious if anyone knows the reason why the supplement shouldn't contain iron...is it for the constipation factor or does it slow down weightloss?.....

Just wondering

...it's probably because of all the meat we're eating. We don't need extra. Are bodies are too good at storing it, and too much iron is not good.

HTH.

I had the same question when I started. I am actually eating about the same amount of red meat and iron-rich foods as before I started LC. I've got low iron, so I've been taking an iron supplement for years. I assumed that the reason for the "no iron" note was for those folks who didn't eat a lot of iron prior to LC. So I've stayed with my iron supplement.

As with anything you can overdose if you take too much. What the likelihood of that is I don't know, but it is probably more likely than getting sick from not having enough. I am sure that subject is up for debate as well. Anyway, here is what the possible results of an iron overdose are:

Iron Overdose
