Default pre-maintenance question

The only time I strictly followed the carb restrictions was during induction. Since then, I've been simply avoiding most breads (other than low carb varieties), all pasta and other high carb foods in any quantity. This has worked well for me, and I continued to drop about 1 lb per week.

Now I'm switching into pre-maintenance, and I'm wondering how many grams of carbs others have ended up at for their "slow" loss carb totals. I've been kind of bouncing around because of the holidays, so I haven't been at any particular level. After several days of gradually eating more breads, I went far astray on new years eve with snacking and several glasses of wine. Popped up 2 lbs in 2 days! Got that back off now, and I'm beginning to experiment.

Today I've had 109 grams of carbs, 26 of which were fiber. That's about 20% of my calories from carbs and fiber. Is anyone else doing the "carbs as a % of calories" approach to pre or lifetime maintenance? Or is everyone staying at a certain gram level? Also, I'd love to know your % or your gram level.

I've decided I must use fitday for this phase, or I'll never really figure out what works for me. Any other advice on this transition?

Thanks for the input.

Dan

Hmmm ok,

I found an almost identical thread in the Maintenance Club forum. Didn't know there was such a room.

I'd move this thread if I knew how...

<sigh>
