Default FitDay error?

I notice that when I put in 1 oz of Natural Cheddar or American cheese it has 0 carbs. I thought that all cheese had at least 1 carb per ounce. Is this an error?

Thanks,
Alli

Hi Alli - Fit day is likely calculating something less than one. Cheddar, according to the Atkins site has .4 carbs per oz. Try putting in say 10 oz and see what happens to the carbs. It SHOULD go up and then you can divide to find out what it is really. Hope that helps, PecanPie

Maybe it's because 1 oz actually has a little less than 1g...and Fitday rounds it down to 0? Depending on what brand of natural cheddar I buy, I notice that some will list carbs as "0" and others will list it as "<1." I count is as a carb per ounce anyways...

It may list as 0 but thats probably because it has less than 0.5

Not all cheese is 1g its just easier to count that way. Usually its somewhere between 0.2g and 1.5g

Fitday will show it as 0 if its under 0.5 but will actually add it all up in your daily totals in the end.

MyJourney is right, Fitday will round up to 1 carb for it.

If you just look at the number next to the item it's sometimes not there, but if you look at total carbs it is.

I think Fitday won't shows values less than 1 as 0, however it still counts them in totals. For instance, when entering in RDA values, sometimes I'll put in something that's less than 0 and the value shows 0, but the % column will show something like 2%.
