Default does anyone know?

Potato Skins ~ does anyone know the carb count fot a scraped out potato skin? I love them, I put sour creme and salsa in them, but I'm afraid they are still loaded with carbs.

Hi Susan,

I knew I'd seen someone refer to potato skins before, so I had a little search.

This thread was the only one I found.

I guess it depends to a large extent just how much of the potato you remove. I hope that's of some help.

According to Corrine Netzer's book:

baked potato, skin only, 1 oz.: 13.1 carbs, 2.2 fiber
microwaved potato, skin only, 2 oz.: 16.8 carbs, 3.2 fiber

Don't know why the difference-- maybe the baked potato is a baking potato (larger). Anyhow, probably best to stay away from them.

Hmmmm......
Well girls I just checked fit day and now I'm more confused then ever: Baked potato with skin 0.5 C. =15.39 carbs
Baked potato skin 1 skin = 26.72

seems kind odd to me!!!
