Default I am going to the movies. Anything I can eat?

I am going to the movies tonight and am in the induction stage. Is there anything there I can eat? This will be quite traumatic. I am use to indulging on popcorn with butter and salt. I so rarely go that I always have popcorn and pop when I do...

During induction you could bring along some pork rinds or beef jerky. After induction, add some macadamia nuts or almonds. Good luck. A definite challenge. Queen Bee

I get a couple of hot dogs, throw the bun away and put some mustard on them. Hot dogs a couple of grams a piece and the mustard has no carbs

Thanks. I laughed at the butter suggestion. Perhaps I will try that. They don't sell hotdogs at our theatre and I really can't stand mustard so that is out and really, what good is a hotdog without ketchup anyway...

I think I will try to find some pork rinds. Good idea. I keep reading about them but haven't seen them anywhere. I use to eat them a lot when I was a kid. They may become my new theatre treat!

bring things to the movies instead of buying things there
bring snacks like nuts, pork rinds, cheese, beef jerky, LC bars/chocolate/shakes
if you have to buy something at the movies....probably just a hot dog without the bun

A good thing to eat at places like that are peanuts in their shells - because you have to shell them, you tend to eat not quite as many as you would if they weren't in their shells, and it keeps your hands busy as well. Remember you can still have your diet sodas - if you want to pay the exorbitant charges at the movies!!

I bring a Pure DeLite bar or some other SF chocolate to the movies -- I don't otherwise buy the actual candy bars. DH will bring home RS SF candies from the store if I don't have LC desserts around, but I try not to eat more than a piece or two, so eating a whole SF candy bar is my little indulgence for the movies. Beats the heck out of a box of Sour Patch Kids, at least!

has a theatre ever stopped anyone from bringing food in?, because they always say you can't. When I went to ROTK, I stuffed my jacket with a bag or pork rinds some chicken wings, and bought a diet pop. I had a big-o-gut on me I tried to eat the pork rinds during the war scenes because they are very loud.
I had my speech for accusing the movie theater of prejudice against me and my diet if they stopped me!

pickles would be ok, too, if your theatre sells pickles. but, the rebel in me is much more in favor of bringing your own goodies!

as for pork rinds...eeeewww. i cannot get into them. nasty.

AMC theatres now carry SUGAR FREE Russell Stovers. They are around $2 a bag.

I do the same as suggested above...pack a Ziplock with goodies. Mozzarella sticks are always good. And some cut up veggies with a little tub of cream cheese. Some sliced pepperoni.

And have fun!! What are you going to see?? Let us know if the movie is worth the money, okay??

Jeannie
