Default Losing pounds but not inches

I have been doing Atkins induction for almost 2 weeks now and have lost 8 lbs so far. I have been taking measurements also and have not lost any inches anywhere. My clothes are still fitting the same and I can't see any difference in my appearance yet. Where is this weight loss coming from ? Is this all just from water loss ? Even if it is just water shouldn't I have lost some size somewhere ? Thank for your help in advance.

You probably have lost inches someplace, but it might be hard to find where. If it was evenly distributed over your entire body, a lost of 8# would only be an average change in the circumference of your body of something like a quarter inch.

Depending on how you like your present proportions, the fact that you appear to be losing it pretty evenly may be good news or bad news.

Give it some time, Tiger. You can't lose lbs and inches at the same time - it's one or the other. Usually the inches come off after you've lost a few lbs - it's a cycle that keeps repeating itself. If you follow your progress closely you'll come to see the pattern.

We've had a past discussion about this that might shed a bit more light on it
