Default Flax Oil Supplements

Has anyone ever heard that flax oil supplements go rancid if they are not stored in the refrigerator? I've just added this supplement due to an "irregularity" problem. I heard this from a co-worker and I'm not sure if this is true or not. Also, how much should one take of this supplement? Thanks.

I use Bralean's Flax oil and only Barleans. Sold in the refiigerator section of quality HFS everywhere.
I like Barlean's it is dated and shipped cold directly to HFS.
I avoid capsules.
I take about 3-4 Tablespoons a day. 1 T straight up in the morning, 1 T with Tuna fish instead of Mayo. and 1T with Dinner salad. Sometimes a shot at night B4 bed.

Thanks for the info. I'll look for that next time I'm at the HFS.

Default Oil does, caps don't

If you buy the oil in the bottle, yes, it has to be refridgerated after opening. I can't stand the taste, so I take the caps, and I take 10 a day, spread over the day, and a few more in the winter. I take them for dry skin; can't say I've noticed an intestinal effect.

I don't take fish oils; hate the stuff.

10 a day? Wow - that seems like a lot. I've been taking 4 a day. I just started so I'm not sure if this will help or if I will need to up the dosage some. Thanks for info.
