Sounds like that 'pseudo mayo clinic diet' that has made the rounds - not really what we'd call 'low carb', nor was it affiliated with the Mayo Clinic.
While Atkins typically consists of just berries and the odd piece of melon during OWL, Protein Power does let you eat more fruit (as the carbs are slightly higher). Grapefruit in moderation is on the list of allowable foods. Grapefruit has a low glycemic index and is therefore converted into sugar in the body slower than say, a banana.
