I have tried to post a picture and it always defaults back to one of the "provided" ones. I have followed the instructions (I thought)

hi Julie,

You need to click Yes in Custom Avatar option. Do not select the No option above the cartoon icons. Be sure to click submit. If your'e still having troubles, you can post the picture here as an attachment, and we can upload it for you.

I've tried what you've suggested and it doesn't cooperate with me! ( I hate when that happens because I do computer software for a living!!LOL)

The picture did need to be resized ... the database won't accept larger than 100 x 100 pixels or 20 kb, whichever is largest. But, normally you'll get an error message telling you that's the problem.
