Angry Psyllium not working

I am on day 6 of induction and things are a bit slow if you know what I mean. I bought psyllium and drank some the past 2 days and it helped a tiny bit but I'm far from normal. Any advice?

Hi Cindy,

How much water are you drinking? It is especially important to drink more water when you are taking a fibre supplement such as psyllium, as it absorbs water as it goes.

And are you eating plenty of vegies?

Next question - how much of the psyllium are you taking. If you are taking the raw husks, 1 tablespoon daily is the required amount.

All the best.

Hi Rosebud,

I am drinking about 80oz of water a day. More than a gallon. I took a tablespoon. I'm wondering if I may need to try it twice a day? I am eating my alotted veggies, but that's not a whole lot! I used to about 10 servings of fruits and veggies a day before I started this so my body is used to having more fiber I guess?

Default Getting "things" moving

this has been a issue with both me and my wife, we make a substance we call Shi__er Tea , it is mostly senna which can be purchases alone in tea bags, I guarantee 2 cups of senna tea will have ya "moving"...just prepare to be home or in a safe comfortable inviornment for a few hours after drinking...best of luck

Also on the tea issue, you can buy a tea called "Smooth Move" which will also help move things along. No laughing at the name!

Thanx. I started taking magnesium yesterday for leg cramps and I think that fixxed the problem as some other members said it would!

Magnesium is wonderful for that problem. I build up a tolerance to fiber.

I prefer magnesium to senna. The senna causes more of an urgency whereas magnesium is much more gentle.
