I looked back to your original post and if you are eating a lot of low carb substitutes for high carb foods, this will be the cause of your lack of progress. Citric acid is only one small part of it.
Most people need to keep between 20-30 grams of high fiber carbohydrates per day to lose weight as well as eating natural proteins and fats, and drinking lots of water. A bit of excercise thrown into the mix will keep your metabolism up.
I find it very disheartening that manufacturers create these products as aids to weight loss. A steady diet of them may give short term results, but when there are no more results, the consumer becomes discouraged and believes that low carb does not work.
Read either Protein Power or Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution for the proper guidelines for a low carb way of eating. It's worth every penny and minute you spend reading to get a lifetime of health back in return.
