Unhappy Nauseous (sp?)

Day 8 of induction for me. I have felt naseous in waves for the whole time. I was hoping it would begin to go away, but it hasn't yet.

It is bad enough that I'm having a hard time eating, because everything makes me feel ill. So now I'm also worried that I'm not getting enough calories.

All in all not feeling really great at this point.

Anyone have any ideas what could possibly be up? Or do I just need to hang in there a bit longer? Or what?

I was gonna post THIS one on the noob board, but I couldn't find it this morning... lol... feeling kind of foggy.

Thanks.

Have you had your gall bladder checked recently? That could be the cause of your nausea and if with indigestion...very likely.

Breakfast is usually a couple of eggs, sometimes with bacon.

Lunch is usually a burger patty with cheese and some salad.

Dinner is fried chicken or maybe prime rib with veggies and/or salad.

Occasional snack of cheese, pepperoni stick, celery with cream cheese, sometimes hot wings.

This is all while I'm on the road.

Home is better... beef veggie stew, rotisserie chicken, etc.

No vitamin yet... I completely forgot about getting one. Doh. Maybe that is it?

Flu?

Pregnant?

Maybe you need a higher level of carbs or perhaps to eat smaller meals more often.

Eat some carbs at every meal.

Choose foods that aren't too greasy - avoid bacon, lunch or deli meats. High fat meals can affect people with gallstones as the fat causes the gall bladder to contract and expel the bile needed for digestion. But it usually causes pain rather than indigestion.

Don't take vitamin tablets and other supplements on an empty stomach.

Not everything that happens to the body comes from LCing. But if it keeps up, you should try eating some carbs like whole grain bread or cereal. If that doesn't change things, then please see your own doctor.

I hope you feel better soon.

I was nauseous for the first couple days of induction too. That and the headaches go away shortly thereafter.

Try going up in carbs. I had trouble with nausea the first time I tried induction too and I had to go off eventually. I put up with it for 10 days and then couldn't stand anymore.

So I ate lowish carbs. I'm guessing about 40-50 gms a day for a long time and lost weight doing that. I recently tried induction again and didn't feel nauseated this time. I think that's because I eased into it.

I think some people who are very sensitive to carbs just may not tolerate 20 a day very well. So why not try 40, then 30 and then 20 and do induction in three weeks?

I felt exactly t he same way during my whole 2 week induction. Don't worry, the feeling will go away eventually.

It was so bad for me at times that I broke down and ate yogurt and fruit to make it go away.

Just stick with the plan and you will be feeling great and slim soon!

Well, I'm hoping it will go away.

I'm going to stick with regular induction for the rest of the two weeks, and then see what happens.

Strange thing... I feel much better after a large cup of mint tea with a packet of Splenda in it.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone.

Here's to making this work!
