Talking Canadian LC Mail Order

I want to report POSITIVELY on a Canadian low carb mail order company. www.lowcarbfooddepot.com

I placed an order with them a couple of weeks ago. It arrived quickly and in good condition. I found the prices, due to discounts, even with shipping came out lower than buying products locally. When I wrote to them to tell them I thought two of the products were terrible, THEY REFUNDED that portion of my order. They carry DaVinci syrups, many types of condiments, jams etc., baking products, pastas La Tortilla wraps , and NEW...TACO SHELLS! With every order you get a further discount coupon for another 5%. Unfortunately at this time, they did not have breads and the tortilla chips are always out of stock. HOWEVER< the STeel's ketchup is a fave of mine..has almost a chili sauce taste, and is wonderful on and in meatloaf. The Steel's Blueberry Pie Filling is a huge 24 OZ jar and is good on pancakes or in mock danish. I can hardly wait for the taco shells I just ordered to arrive..mmm a huge feed of TACOS>..spicy beef, sour cream, cheese, tomatoes and lettuce....may use up my carb allowance for a day but WHO CARES...TACOS!

ANyhow, if you have trouble finding LC products in your area, you may wish to try them. Also, CARBSENSE has a website with lots of good recipes, using their products. Their applecinnamon pancakes aren't bad at all..but only have those once a week on Sunday.

Hi mollymom,

I had quit a different experience with them...

They advertise delivery 2-6 days, well my order took 11 working days! When I called Canada post I was told they had no such delivery dates: express post is 2-3 days and regular parcel is 4-11 days.
Anyway...I ordered two davinci syrups, both of which leaked all over everything - a big sticky bubble wrap mess!
I was quite dissapointed, especially b/c shipping was almost $20.

On a better note, I have ordered from www.sndcanada.com and was very pleased! They have many low carb products, including Atkins, Carbsense, Carbolite, Ketogenics and Low Carb Success. The prices are better than lowcarbdepot! Shipping is only $5.95 and they deliver by express post (2-3days). If you order over $100 the shipping is free, and if it's over $200 you get a 10% discount on top of it!
I highly reccommend them, you should check it out!
