Angry Hot Cereal

I have a bad feeling that I am allergic to flax and I just love the flax hot cereals. I am going off of it for awhile so I can see if that is the problem. What other hot cereals are out there that are not mostly flax? Someone mentioned Dream of Wheat but I did not know what they were referring to. Love my hot cereal in the winter so I need some help. Thanks.

Linda

I don't think Keto Hot Cereal is flax...

What makes you think you're allergic? I mean, what symptoms are you having?

Default flax

I get all stuffed up and cough alot. I am allergic to trees and grasses so I just figured flax was included. I hope not.

Might be. "Grasses" covers a lot of territory. WOuldn't most grains, technically be consiered grasses? I agree that cutting it out for a while might help see if it's the culprit.

Hi,

I know this sounds crazy but I swear it is really good!

Take some ricotta cheese, mix it with splenda, and cinnamon, and heat it in the microwave for about 45 seconds. It tastes sort of like a cream of wheat type of hot cereal. It might be a good substitute for you if you can't eat flax, etc.

Hope that was of some help.

You can eat full-cooked oatmeal (not the instant or quick stuff) occassionally. I do so with some sliced strawberries, cream & splenda and it fills me up and hasn't knocked me out of ketosis thus far.
