Default chewing gum

I'm a home care nurse and chew lots of gum usually while dieting and driving. I read in "The Book" that you shouldn't chew gum while on induction. What about sugar-free gum?

My biggest woe of starting induction is the water thing. As a home care nurse I spend alot of time in the car, and there are just some houses you DON'T want to piddle in. When I was drinking on the other diet I was a manager in the office. Guess since I'm a nurse I'll just have to learn self-cathing and stick one in every morning!

Oh now see, I was drinking when I read that and now I gotta wipe off the monitor.....

That was funny.

The gum thing I am not so sure about but if Dr. Atkins said don't chew it, then don't chew it.

Did you know the average American chews like 24 pounds of gum each year? Since I chew about three sticks every decade, you folks are really chewing the hell out of the stuff....

No I am not watching you, that is up to the Government.

I am just surfing around and I have been on the net before 99% of the world was on the net. Getting around is easy and fast and well..... okay, I'm so bored tonight I thought about watching the dishes dry.

So I run around the site, posting and reading and posting.... I run a web site much like this, minus the low carb stuff and I am use to navigating these sites and running them.

Rule one to web sites like this is participation... the more you jump in, the more other folks get involved....

Oh, and I am addicted to this place.

I have a stick or somtimes two a day and I have not had any negative effects
I think its one of them things you have to deside if you want to use the carbs on it or not though

Chewing gum never affected me during induction. I just dont see how a small piece of gum you dont swallow is going to hurt ya.

I went to a LC store and they had this gum called zylichew or something like that with 2g sugar alcohols in them and 0g carbs

I chewed the pack when I got it and thought it was great

It was kinda pricy and the store was too far for me to go to but I didnt seem to have any ill effects from it and thought it was some of the best gum I ever chewed

and supposedly xylitol is good for teeth (or so the box claimed)
