Default Too much Protein??

I am just concerned ya know I hate hearing things from other people about how low carbing is bad for you. I definatly don't eat too much more protein than I did before.I was a steak lover from the beginning. I eat about the same with out the carbs am I gonna get kidney stones Oh yeah and the only thing I drink is water oh and also Ive been low carning 2 months now :agree:

Dr. Atkins repeatedly challenged anyone to bring forward a case where low carbing caused damage to healthy kidneys. No ever did and no one ever has since his death. So I think you can relax on that score. People have been saying that for years and it's still not true, no matter how many times they say it.

If it helps, I've been on LC for over 6 years and have no kidney stone problems.

Keep drinking several litres of water daily as that helps flush out the by-products of the fat you are burning, and protects against the formation of kidney stones. Another reason why LCing is good.

All you can do is be a living, walking example of the benefits of Atkins and how these misconceptions are just that. I know I didn't think Atkins was healthy and had a guy at work that was doing it and I thought he was nuts. Less than a year later I was reading and researching and started doing it myself

There are a lot of myths going round about low carbing. I am sure that many are started by the sugar, potato and bread industries which have really suffered. However, provided you drink your water, as you do, your body can cope with higher levels of protein than you are likely to give it. Don't forget, when your stomach is full it will send a message telling you to stop eating, so you can not overeat protein. Don't forget to eat plenty of healthy carbs in the form of vegetables.

Continued success and prove those doubters wrong.

I've also not experienced any kidney problems and have been low carbing for 3 years.
