Question insomnia

Has anyone had problems with sleeping on this WOE. I haven't had much sleep in the past week or so. My husband had a cold, and you know how men are when they are sick. Anyway, I should be really tired by now, but in the last 3 days I have worked 8-9 hour shifts, went for walks, and only been able to sleep 3 hours max. I am tired, but cannot sleep.......I have meds for anxiety but don't want to take them unless absolutely necessary..... any ideas?

In the first few weeks of this diet, while your body is getting used to ketosis, it's very common to have lots of extra energy. I slept much less during the first few weeks too, but didn't feel tired. I eventually went back to normal sleep hours, but now I fall asleep more easily than I ever have and sleep more peacefully (except for that 2-a.m. trek to the bathroom).

If you think it is extreme, like you're not getting enough to be healthy, I would talk to your doctor. Otherwise, this is normal and will probably subside eventually.

And congrats on your weight loss so far. That's terrific!
