Default Is Caffeine Evil?

Hello Lively Lo-Carb Fans:

Atkins recommends decaffeinated beverages. I drink caffeine. I have good and bad periods for weight loss/weight gain.

Any recommendations? Should I give up the "C" drug?

Cheers!

That is one of those things that affect some people but not others. I haven't given it up. But, if you think it is affecting you, you might want to switch to decaf for a while and see if that helps.

Yes, common sense does tells me to cut back. I headed to Starbucks yesterday and picked up a pound of 1/2 caf/ 1/2 decaf to see if moderation helps.

We'll see. I'm starting to chart all food/beverage consumption to see if I'm really deviating from the food plan. I'm trying induction phase again.

Thanks, N

Okay, that was funny but I can't make the connection between caffeine and erotic/kinky chicken action. I think I need another cup of coffee. Caffeine may be evil but it feels like a necessary evil! Cheers, N

I've lost with Caffiene and without. I gave it up along with aspartame for about 2 weeks and didn't seem to lose any quicker or any slower. In my opinion is you like it have it. Just try to drink it in moderation.

Good luck

Default Common Sense Rules!

Dennis:

I agree completely. Once I graduate from college, I'll probably get my act together. Between now and then, I consume the caf. to stay alert and remedy little sleep at night. I need to get back into good habits and form a new one (less caf.).

Cheers, Nancy

I've started to buy the Organic decaf breakfast blend beans. This is really tasty coffee and I don't miss the caffeine at all. I'll NEVER give up my coffee -- that would be worse than giving up my left foot!!!!!
